I’m sure if I complained about any of this, somebody would try to make it right (it’s their slogan), but you can’t fix poor management and drive ‘care’ into the workers with a single complaint nor change hotel policies of requesting housekeeping every day or coffee policy or even the over sanitation practices without even bothering to wipe it. Not here though, the response I received was “restaurant doesn’t open until 6”. ALL have coffee started and ready for a customer by 4am. I’ve stayed at 100’s of hotels, from $30/night motel 6 to 1,000/night ritz. So if you get back to the hotel late, and wake up early, no coffee. Room service to refresh your coffee supplies, you have to request the day before. The chicken Alfredo was pretty decent, but do not expect any attention from the wait staff of one.įor those that have to get up before 6am and want coffee, you have to make it in your room. Online the hotel boasted a restaurant, but they don’t have a liquor license, and they still are trying to figure out where they are getting cups, so you have to settle for a solo cup. In the shower, despite the nice display of how they arranged the curtain, there was a pile of hair in the corner. In the bathroom, there was a pile of debris in the corner from where I assumed they swept but didn’t pick up. The floors were still wet from whatever spray, and because of all the moisture the room felt like a damp cold basement that smelled like a pool. Everything in the room was covered in this hazy grime, that came off on your hands when touched. Room was disgusting! In all of this Covid world, disinfecting has taken over. I stayed at this doubletree on and off for a total of ~180 nights in 2017, and since then business hasn’t brought me back, until now. I’ve stayed in 100’s of hotels and haven’t had the urge to write a review until now.
